Increase in DWI arrests in Tarrant County

Experienced DWI Defense in Tarrant County and all over the DFW Metroplex!

Driving While Intoxicated is unfortunately a common criminal offense that occurs in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This past weekend there were around 37 arrests related to DWI scattered throughout the metroplex. Tarrant County has had two fatal car accidents occur within the past two weeks related to DWI. The FWPD, Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and other North Texas agencies plan on participating in “Saturation Saturday”.

DFW agencies that reported DWI arrests:

  • Lake Worth PD: 6 DWI arrests

  • North Richland Hills PD: 3 DWI arrests

  • White Settlement PD: 3 DWI arrests

  • Grand Prairie PD: 5 DWI arrests

  • Hurst PD: 2 DWI arrests

  • Tarrant County Sheriff's Office: 8 DWI arrests

  • Arlington PD: 10 DWI arrests

Saturation Saturday is a campaign started by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Saturation Saturday’s purpose is to increase law enforcement patrols and to prevent DWI matters from escalating. The increase of law enforcement presence sends a clear message that if you drive while intoxicated you will get caught.
